# Critical qualitative inquiry and youth participation

Miguel Casar Rodriguez’s work connects critical qualitative inquiry with educational justice. It asks how young people and communities can question the conditions around them and help shape more just futures.

## Knowledge, power and lived experience

Critical qualitative research examines how knowledge is made, whose experience is recognized and how power shapes education. This focus keeps lived experience central to the questions a study asks and the meaning it makes.

## Young people as researchers and participants

Youth participation is part of the research approach. Young people can contribute as researchers and as participants in decisions that affect their lives, rather than appearing only as subjects of study.

## Democracy and education
